1906
Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation is a real estate franchising network that was established in 1906 after the devastating earthquake and fire in San Francisco in the United States of America. The young estate agent Colbert Coldwell felt a need for an honest and professional estate agent that would help rebuild the city.
1913
In 1913, with the company’s growth, Colbert Coldwell hired Arthur Banker as a property dealer. The two men soon became business partners and created an estate agency that was many years ahead of its time with its focus on providing customers with above-average services.
1914
The company was officially renamed Coldwell Banker in 1914.
1925
It opened its first estate agency focused on residential properties in 1925 in San Francisco.
1925 – 1991
Coldwell Banker expanded rapidly over the next 50 years. The company opened branches throughout the United States of America and was represented in all 50 American states in 1991.
1990s
At the start of the 1990s the Coldwell Banker system started to expand abroad. The first foreign branches were established in Canada and Puerto Rico. Coldwell Banker currently has offices in 49 countries around the world and the number keeps on growing.
During its lifetime Coldwell Banker has become a premiere real estate network and one of the leading brands on the market, not only in the USA, but around the world.
